April 2022 – Suspension of Service in Some UK Regions
The last couple of years have been strange and difficult for many of us, and businesses continue to face unique challenges. We’ve taken a look at how Pram Parlour operates and decided to make a big change to help ensure we maintain the highest standards of cleaning, customer care and value for money.
With immediate effect, we are suspending our services in some regions of the UK, but will continue to offer collection and delivery in the following areas:
- Cheshire
- Greater Manchester
- Merseyside
- Lancashire
- Leicestershire
- West Yorkshire
- South Yorkshire
- Nottinghamshire
- West Midlands
- Derbyshire
- Staffordshire
- Shropshire
Our decision only affects other areas we would normally have served with 3rd party couriers, and not our own van fleet.
Why have we done this?
- Costs – Courier costs, fuel surcharges and the price of packaging have increased dramatically in the last few months. It is simply not cost effective for us to continue to serve certain areas at the moment.
- Sustainability – We are proud to prolong the life and encourage reuse of travel equipment, but our environmental responsibilities don’t end there. Although we recycle and reuse cardboard and plastic packaging required by couriers for transport, our service still generates more waste than we would like. So, we’re taking this opportunity to develop sustainable solutions.
We hope this change is temporary, and we’re working on ways to reach everyone across the UK again soon.
